Music production in Clitheroe

Trolley Thief: Dance Music Production in ClitheroeMark Mulligan (AKA Trolley Thief AKA Vapour Trail) has been producing dance music since 1998. His first major foray into production resulted in a track cut onto acetate that gained underground success and acclaim, ultimately resulting in being signed to London based Igloo UK. Mark released three tracks for the trance indie, each of which sold out and two of which went to repress. The tracks gained national radio play, including peak time plays by Judge Jules on Radio 1, and widespread club support from DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, John ‘00’ Flemming (who put Mark’s second single in his personal top 5), Judge Jules, Ian Betts, Anthony Dean, Tim Coe, Darren Christian and Steve Lee.

Mark worked with various DJs and producers on remixes, including Ian Betts, Knowwhere's Anthony Dean and Soft Sounds Charlie Tear. Back in his day he DJ-ed a bit and also gigged widely on the live P.A. circuit in London to hugely enthusiastic sell-out crowds in venues such as Home, the Scala and Cloud 9. One reviewer wrote “Vapour Trail’s live P.A. shook the building to it’s foundations”.
When he first started out producing Mark's dance music ambitions were to:
- get a record deal
- get played on Radio One
- have Steve Lee play one of his records in one of his legendary last sets at the Gallery

He managed all three and went into dance music semi-retirement a contented man :-)
